ACCOMMODATION

Students taking part in the LTL Tokyo Winter Camp have two options for accommodation: the homestay camp or the residence camp.

Living with a Japanese homestay means your child will live with a local family, get to experience authentic Japanese home life and immerse themselves in the culture. They will also practice their language skills every day after school.

The season is typically dry with low humidity and many sunny days, although light snowfall can occur once or twice during the winter months, with heavy snow being uncommon.

Doctors speak English amongst a lot of other languages too. The service quality is very high.

Yes, you can.

Before your child comes to our Tokyo Winter Camp, you will fill out our parent questionnaire where you can define rules for your child during their time there.

Why do under-18s stay with homestay families?

Our homestay families are great with teenagers.

They look after their host children very well and provide not only a safe but also a comfortable environment at home that allows your child to explore from a safe home base.

They also provide supervision and help with enforcing the rules you set for your child.

Is Tokyo a safe city for my child?

Tokyo is extremely safe for all our students.

Traffic however is more chaotic than many other countries, so please make sure you tell your child to follow our instructions regarding road safety.

Who do I contact if there are problems?

During the program, your child’s guardian is always your first point of contact.
